 COPEDENT
This is the copedent that’s on The Fessy today . . . .(Could change tomorrow)  :-)

 DESCRIPTION
The Fessy is a single-12 on a frame and a half – the back neck is only about 3” wide. After playing push-pull guitars for several years and voluntarily limiting my copedent in the interest of mechanical simplicity, I decided I would see how far I could push the envelope. This guitar came with 8 and 8 and I was delighted at how easy it is to make changes and adjustments. One problem I faced, however, was that it has THREE staggered levers – an additional LKL, LKR, and RKL.The question was was whether a narrow, virtually single-neck guitar could accommodate eight knee levers, ALL ACCESSIBLE AT THE SAME TIME.

 MODIFICATIONS
I’m happy to report the answer is YES.  With the help of my friend David Gleason, machine shop guru, we were able to space the levers, front-to-back, to make all eight levers playable with only a minor movement.  We took Jerry’s levers and, based on a suggestion from Jerry, created three new ones that use the same brackets but move the lever itself toward the front of the guitar.  This design avoids anchoring knee lever brackets within the ‘field’ of pull rods while permitting the angles of the levers to be adjusted and allowing enough space between them (front-to-back) to engage each lever independently with as little adjustment of the seating position as possible.
