Uncle Phil
This is a tune I wrote in imitation (sincerest form of flattery) of and as a tribute to Phil Baugh, one of my all-time favorite guitarists.  I wrote it about ten years ago when Phil was playing frequently with Buddy Emmons.

It uses the "Echoplex Trick" that was popular in the '60s with the early tape delay units, plus a whole bunch of effects.  There is also a section using the first generation guitar synthesizer, a single voice Korg X911 -- it's a fun little box that I still get a kick out of to this day.

Move it or Lose It
This is a more recent tune (March, '97) that weaves around Charlie Parker cliches.  It's kind of a boppy little number with the trademark '40s solo piano intro that Bird used in several tunes.

It uses a little chorus and some pitch shift stuff (a fourth below the melody, creating a fifth interval with a pentatonic scale lick).

Ballad for JT
I wrote this one in 1995.  It's pretty stock -- uses some doubling of parts and often sounds like chorus but no chorus effect is actually used.  It does use plenty of reverb, however, trying to get a 'spacious' feel.

All FunkTup
This is one of my newest tunes (June, '97).  It uses a kinda funky little clavinet figure -- in fact it uses a LOT of clavinet.  The harmony part over the steel melody is also clavinet.  It uses a pitch shifter from my LXP-5 to get an eerie octave above effect.

Dance of the Snoids
I wrote this one in the early 80's -- about the time I wrote 'Uncle Phil'.  First recording was in the basement of my buddy Steve Vormbrock's house.
